ADE 2025

The annual Amsterdam Dance Event is an industry event close to the heart of producer Jonathan Joosten, a.k.a. The Happy Groover. He signed his hitsingle When I Snap My Fingers to CNR/Arcade right after meeting their A&R Manager at the event in 1997. While for the majority of attendees ADE is all about partying, for Jonathan it still is the event to catch up with the industry people that have been around for decades.

This year, Jonathan will be in Amsterdam during ADE, after missing the past few editions due to conflicting events in the U.S. Unlike previous editions, Jonathan isn’t bringing a new gimmick track whch is available for licensing. There is one in the works, and it has all the signs that it can become huge, but it’s not finished yet. So this year, it’s all about getting reacquainted with familiar faces from the past, and new faces as well.

While there is no new gimmick track to shop around, that doesn’t mean Jonathan hasn’t been busy. As a Club DJ he’s playing multiple gigs every weekend, mostly in Amsterdam and Utrecht (see Agenda). As a producer he has been working on the projects listed below, which are either intended as exclusives for his DJ sets, or have yet to be released.
